A 12-year-old boy was beaten and robbed by a group of teens as he was walking in west Wichita on Wednesday night, police say.
The boy told police he was walking in the 3000 block of West St. Louis, near Central and Meridian, at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when he was approached by three older teenage boys, Lt. Doug Nolte said.
They began punching and kicking him and one stole his iPod, Nolte said. The boy suffered a cut inside his upper lip and a bruised left eye and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
