According to The Telegraph it seems like Apple’s about to release a new ‘iPod Touch’ this coming July 14th. Whilst there’s still no news as to what exactly will be upcoming there seems to be a confusion if the upcoming iPod is going to be an iPod Touch, an iPod Shuffle and an iPod Nano.

According to a French website-iGen.fr; it is believed that Apple’s about to announce the latest iPod tomorrow.

The last time that we’ve seen a new iPod was back in 2012 with the ‘iPod Touch 5th Generation’ which is not really a massive upgrade from its predecessors.

Apple Insider said that the upcoming ‘iPod’ will be faster running on a 64-bit processor. The upcoming ‘iPod’ is also believed to sport a 5MP camera with 16, 32, or 64 GB storage.

But one thing’s for sure, the upcoming iPod will showcase new colors like gold, electric blue, and fuchsia pink; other colors also includes; black, pink, and space grey.

Since the last ‘iPod Touch 5th Generation’ we’ve seen the rise of smartphones; and with this the rise of new apps which could make any smartphone plays music. Due to this; Apple has seen a steady fall on the sales of the ‘iPod’.

The new iOS 9 was designed to streamline all the user’s existing Apple gadgets; one must wonder if we’ll be seeing the upcoming ‘iPod’ run on the latest iOS9?

Other rumored specs to what is believed to be the ‘iPod Touch 6th Generation’ is the Touch ID sensor, the front-facing camera, and that it’ll be available in 2 variants; the 4.7-inch screen and the 5.5-inch screen.
