Waterford Valley High Hosting iPod Drive - VOCM

Waterford Valley High School students are hosting an iPod drive this week to contribute to Eastern Health’s Music & Memory program.

The therapeutic program uses iPods to bring personalized music to residents living in long-term care homes.

Dr. Aaron McKim told VOCM Nightline with Jonathan Richler that music triggers memory, even in patients with advanced dementia.

Often songs people learn between the ages of 16 and 26 are the ones that stick with them for life.

You can donate an iPod by contacting [email protected].
