Free Apple update for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch fixes bugs, including an issue where FaceTime calls would drop for some callers, besides some improvements, has been released on Thursday according to a Nov. 14 report in AppleInsider.
This free update (iOS 7.0.4) is for iPhone 4+, iPad 2+, iPad mini+ and iPod Touch 5, including the new iPhone 5s, Apple iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display, in short, devices running iOS 7.
To install this free Apple update, first be sure that your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch is connected to a power source and then tap the Settings icon on the Home Screen>General>Software Update>Install Now>Agree. This iOS update will take a minute or two to download and install, so let your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch sit for a moment.
To address these bug fixes, including FaceTime dropped calls, and add some improvements to iPod Touch 4, Apple also issued a free and separate update for it because iPod Touch 4 is incompatible with iOS 7.
To improve performance and stability for Apple TV, Apple has also released on Thursday a free update to Apple TV software, version 6.0.2. To download and install this software update for Apple TV, go to Settings>General>Software Updates, Update Software.
