Free iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch apps worth downloading now - Examiner.com

The free app "Vine", has just released a major update, according to an Oct 24 report in CBS News. "Vine" is the free iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch app that lets you create and share six second looping videos with friends."Vine" is very popular and has 40 million users sharing 13 million videos.

The first new feature is "Time Travel". This lets you do what you couldn’t do before in "Vine". It lets you go back in time and remove, edit—or even replace—any video in a post. You activate "Time Travel" by either taping edit while previewing a post or tapping the green bar while you’re recording.

"Sessions" is the second convenient feature. "Sessions" lets you save up to ten drafts of a video while you’re recording or editing them. Simply tap "Save for later" after recording.

Up until now, "Vine" has be very strict about preventing users from editing videos and it’s easy to see why. "Vine" markets itself as a way to capture moments in time. Well, time is spontaneous and so the videos capturing those moments should be too.

But "Vine" also wants to grow its user base to better compete with the "Instagram" video sharing service. This update, which gives users two powerful tools, helps "Vine" do this.

"Vine" is also available for Android.

Just out is "Dead Trigger 2", a stunning free game by Madfinger Games. In this sharp, first-person shooter with state-of-the-art-graphics, your goal is to survive a global Zombie infestation. You’ll see details like reflections in water and dynamic vegetation.

Check out the new super-cool video!

You can use either touch control, a virtual joystick or a supported gamepad to battle varieties of Zombies and Zombie bosses. But whichever one you choose you’ll find yourself exploring locations that run the gamet between abandoned mines and the desert of North Africa. There are global missions, story missions and side-quests. Allies will help you unlock new tools and weapons.

Both of these apps are compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. "Dead Trigger 2" requires iOS 7.
