Former iPod engineer unveils fancy kinetic desk with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi ... - IntoMobile
Former iPod engineer JP Labrosse now has his own company which has recently unveiled its first product. Called Stir Kinetic Desk, this thing has an adjustable height. Tap a touchscreen in the corner to activate the standing mode; tap again, and get it back to the sitting mode. It's the easy.
But that's not all. The Stir Kinetic Desk also comes with a feature called "Whisper Breath" that will alert you when it's time to get up and walk around a bit. You'll get a slight nudge as a reminder about that.
The desk comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity to sing along your existing gear and special apps to track the number of calories you burn while sitting and standing.
The only problem is the price. At $ 3,890, the Stir Kinetic Desk isn't something everyone can afford. Most of us will rather have to wait for something similar, though not as fancy, coming from IKEA. ;(
