As expected, Apple took the wraps off its long-awaited up to the Mac Pro on Tuesday. The sleek, shiny black cylindrical design and heavy duty computing power immediately made the device an attractive option, but the only concern for many was the price.
The new Mac Pro will cost $ 2,999 and go on sale in December.

Apple's entry-level version of the Mac Pro will include a 3.7GHz quad-core Xeon processor, 12GB of DRAM, Dual FirePro D300 graphics (2GB of VRAM each) and a 256GB solid state hard drive. According to Apple, by switching to solid state, the Mac Pro is 10 times faster than it would be with a normal hard drive.
During the presentation, the company revealed that it put the device through its paces with professionals such as filmmaker Dean Devlin (Independence Day), photographer Lucas Gilman (National Geographic) and music producer Stuart Price music (Lady Gaga).
With its distinctive anodized aluminum enclosure and a unified thermal core, the computer offers up to 7 teraflops of computing power and support for up to three 4k displays. Fans of the Apple's design aesthetics will be interested to know that the new device takes up just 1/8 the volume the previous generation of the Mac Pro.
